Zhongshan Park Profile: walking from the hotel to Zhongshan Park needs about 3 minutes. Shanghai Zhongshan Park is the original old Shanghai UK real estate developer Hoggs private garden. In 1914 it was altered to a concession park after nearly 90 years development and construction it becomes a park with trees lawn forests water and other natural landscape features. The main part of the park is of British garden style supplemented with traditional Chinese garden Japanese style garden ornamental plants garden forming different landscape features. The Park integrates the Chinese and Western garden culture with profound historical and cultural impregnation and so far it is the old park that maintained the most integral original landscape style in Shanghai. In order to meet the requirements of the building of spiritual civilization of Shanghai the infrastructure and landscape of Zhongshan Park conducted a comprehensive transformation which makes the park look new.
